installing permanent net posts and basketball court systems require concrete footings. The footings are typically three to four feet deep with a 20"-30" diameter depending on the system.  Net posts should be set in sleeves making them removable or easily replaced. The post footings should be poured before or at the same time as doing the concrete pad. For tennis courts the distance is 42 feet from post to post. For pickleball the distance is 22 feet. 

There are great pickleball portable nets if installing inground posts is not possible.
